Hours
The daycare will be available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. To 5:30p.m.unless a specific agreement has been made with the exception of the days listed below which are also detailed in the contract.
Part-time care is considered 3 days per week. Variation to these times, if agreed to, will be stated in the individual contact.
Please notify me by your usual arrival time if your child will not be arriving for one of their contracted days so that we are not waiting before commencing the day’s activities.
The daycare will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Heritage Day (starting 2015), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Natal Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
Should any of these days fall on a weekend, the Provider reserves the right to close the daycare on the next business day. These are paid holidays.
Rates
The rate is $35 per child per day full time, Before and after school is $20 per day and just before or after school is $10 per day.
Payment is due weekly in advance invoices will be sent out Wednesday and payment is due by 11 o'clock Saturday. Payment is accepted in cash or by e-mail transfer. Payment by e-mail is to be received by 11am on the Saturday of the pay period and payment by cash is due no later than drop-off time on the first Monday of the pay period.
If your child is not in attendance due to vacation, any payment due during the absence is to be paid before in advance. Please note that the daily rate is paid regardless of the attendance of the child. This rate reserves the child’s space within the day care. You are paying for the space that your child is occupying not the number of days which they actually attend. No refunds or reduction in fee are given for late arrival/early departures, extended vacations or any other reason your child did not attend on their registered day(s). Please consider that your fees are my entire income; they pay for insurance, income taxes, property taxes, utilities, toys, equipment, art supplies, food and all of the other items your child will use.
Fees/ Deposit
Deposits for Day Care Places
Before your child is admitted to daycare, or to hold a future spot, a deposit will be required. This deposit is equal to one week of childcare – the daily rate multiplied by the number of enrolled days being requested. The deposit will be credited to your last week fee when you decide to depart from the daycare. This is a deposit to hold a place for your child. Please be advised that should you decide, for any reason, that you no longer require the place, the deposit will be forfeited.
Should you require a place to be held for your child for more than a month, then that is a direct cost to me and therefore, you will be required to pay a 50% retainer for the duration of that time so we are each financially invested in the arrangement you need. Daycare places will not routinely be held for longer than a month unless worked out on a case by case basis.
Fees
If the fee is not paid when due, a late fee of $10.00 per day may be assessed If payment is not received by the following morning, your child(ren) will not be permitted to return until all fees have been paid in full.
Late collection of children will incur an additional fee of $1.00 per minute per child. Late fees are due on collection of your child, in cash. I understand these are steep but the objective is to deter habitual late collection.
